Electrocity Workshop
Last
Wednesday we had a very special visitor, whose name was Stephen. He spoke to us
about how we could build our very own Lego city.
At first, we found that all of the desks had been moved because we needed space
for the Lego pieces [they were sorted by their colour into various boxes].
Class discussion:
After we had
discussed what buildings would be found in a city we had the opportunity to
build our own. We used our imaginations and created colourful but large
buildings. We planned the details, such as where we would build a road and a
train track, which had wires on it so that it could move around the city.
At the end of the day:
After a very
long but exciting day we lit up the buildings by using large batteries and
crocodile clips. We thought that it looked incredible and very life like! At the end
of the session we were able to play with the city and once we’d had our fun we
invited other year groups and our parents to come and see our magical creation!
